This distinguished lecture will address the complexities of water and food demand due to global population growth, and explore the concept of virtual water and the role of virtual water trade in addressing water scarcity issues.
It will also introduce research analyzing the historical changes in famine in terms of the water cycle and socio-economic volatility.
